Calling all Educators, Parents, and Students! I don’t know about you, but I’m always caught off guard when I see the new displays of school supplies pop up at Target. It’s hard to imagine that we’re only a few weeks away from the start of another school year! So while you are having as much summer fun as you can, you’re probably also wanting to start the next school year on the right foot. Well, Deerfield Public Library has got you covered!

Did you know that with your library card you have access to online resources you can’t find anywhere else?

Maybe you’re a student, and you’re trying to write up a research paper, but it’s a bit difficult to know where to start or find sources that your teacher will actually count. You should definitely check out Gale General One File and Facts on File: Issues and Controversies. These databases basically do the research for you!

Educators, if you’re struggling to come up with a lesson plan, be sure and check out Scholastic Teachables. You’ll be able to download printable worksheets, lesson plans, reading passages, games and puzzles, clip art, bulletin board ideas, and skills sheets for kids in any grade.

Parents, no doubt you’re trying to find ways to help your kids keep up with their learning while also keeping them engaged. One great resource to check out is Creativebug, which is loaded with incredible craft ideas perfect for the summer. Also be sure and take a look at our massive collection of Great Courses through Kanopy and Hoopla!
