“Someday I’m going to write a book” is something many of us say, but few rarely do. However, if you consider yourself an aspiring writer, don’t miss our upcoming program, Find the Novel Inside of You, on Saturday, October 18 at 1:30 p.m.
William Hazelgrove, the best-selling author of The Pitcher and soon-to-be-released Real Santa, will be presenting this two hour workshop which will include the secrets to getting started and how to keep at it through the first draft and beyond. Hazelgrove will also touch on how to get published, movie options and his first big contract. The program is filled with inspiration, helpful hints and good advice. Whether this is your first attempt at writing the Great American Novel or your fifth, there’s sure to be something for everyone.
If you can’t attend the program, there are a number of excellent resources available in the Library to help you get started. One example is Writer’s Digest magazine located in the Library’s magazine section. It includes author interviews, writing tips, how to get published and more. It’s a good resource for both beginning and experienced writers. If your looking for additional resources, feel free to stop by the Adult Services desk to speak with a librarian.
