Be a More Informed Voter with These Resources!

Last week, the League of Women Voters visited the Library to share information on how to get ready to vote this November. If you missed this program, no worries! Here are some resources to help you be informed this election.

Not sure what candidates will be on your ballot?

Illinoisvoterguide.org is a website that the League put together that can help you learn more about the candidates you are voting for. All you need to do is put the address you are registered to vote at and it will show you all the candidates that will appear on your ballot and which offices they are running for. You can click on each candidate to find information on their positions (these come directly from candidates’ websites). You can also save your choices, email them to yourself, or print them out and take the list with you to the voting booth.

Even more election info is available on The Lake County Clerk’s website. You can find information about voting, election results, and more. In addition, we have a Lake County voter information guide handout here in the Library.

Grace registration period

Don’t forget! In Illinois, you can still register to vote at early voting sites, at your assigned Election Day voting site, or during business hours at The Lake County Clerk’s office. Just bring two valid forms of identification, both of which should show your name and one should show your current Lake County address.

Now that you are more informed… ready, set, vote!
