This month, DPL was proud to present a special storytime featuring Nadia from the YouTube channel, Ramadan Books in Nadia’s Nook. Nadia is a high school student in the process of earning her Girl Scout Gold Award. Her service project aims to increase Muslim representation in her community through books. In 2020 she started her YouTube channel in order to read books about Ramadan and Muslim culture to her younger cousins during the pandemic. Much to Nadia’s surprise, she now has over 450 subscribers and has viewers in 26 countries. She’s very excited to be able to reach so many people.
