We recently purchased a new piece of equipment for MakerSpace. We’ve tested it out, learned how to use it, and are ready to introduce it to our patrons. Please come and try out our new Sublimation Printer.
Sublimation printing is a process that is very similar to standard inkjet printing. But it uses a special sublimation paper and ink. You can print out full-color designs or photographs on the sublimation paper using the sublimation ink. Then a heat press is used to heat transfer the ink to sublimation-ready objects. You must use sublimation-ready items for the process to work. Sublimation-ready items can be purchased at most hobby stores or online. Simply do a search for “sublimation” and you’ll find lots of items. Keychains, Mousepads, Magnets, Coffee Mugs, Water Tumblers, Coasters, and Pillow Cases.
Bring your sublimation-ready items into the MakerSpace along with your design or a favorite picture and we can help you learn how it all works!
