Illinois allows grace-period voter registration by going to any early voting site or going to your polling place on election day. If you register to vote during the grace period, you’ll be given a provisional ballot, which will be counted once your voter registration is confirmed.

What are Retention Elections?
In Illinois, judges who wish to remain on the bench are voted on every six years. Voters are asked to vote “yes” or “no” to retain a judge. Circuit court judges must run for retention every six years and receive 60% “yes” votes to remain on the bench.
