As a Summer Reading Program Volunteer you would be responsible for the Youth Services’ Summer Reading Program sign up table, where you would assist younger patrons with registering for the three-month long reading program, organize sign up/completion sheets, and hand out prizes.
As a Big Buddy for the Book Buddy Program, you will meet with your Little Buddy readers weekly for 45 minutes to read aloud together, talk about the stories, and share fun activities. It’s a fantastic opportunity to create a relationship with a younger reader and encourage the love of literacy!
As a Program Volunteer you would assist Librarians with a variety of homegrown programs, helping with set up, clean up, and directing participants. You would have the opportunity to work with the Youth Services Department on their programs, as well as with an Adult Services Librarian on computer classes.
