The “empty space” that is Kansas allowed me to fill it with anything I could imagine. And books? Well, those powerful tools enabled me to paint the world as only a child could. To this day, no matter what I read, I always have a sense of wonder and fascination about it.
History, Archaeology, and Theology – these are a few of my favorite things, though there is nothing better than a novel with well-developed characters unearthing what it means to be human along the way. I still cannot read the Iliad without crying, and I am a sucker for Historical Fiction!
“We live into the stories we have absorbed; we become characters in the drama that has captivated us. Thus, much of our action is acting out a kind of script that has unconsciously captured our imaginations.”- James K.A. Smith
