Below are the instructions for Feburary 2024 Grab & Go kits! Grab one only in the Youth Department at the Library. While supplies last.

Chenille Stem Animals
Happy February! Stretch your imagination and create an animal using just a few basic materials.
Each kit includes:
- 2 chenille stems
- 1 popsicle stick
- 1 piece of construction paper
Supplies you’ll need:
- Crayons to color with or other art supplies
- Scissors
- Glue
- Decide what animal you’d like to create! I chose a cat to use the chenille stem to make their tail. But you could cut up the stems to make legs, like 4 legs for a lizard or 8 legs to create a spider!
2. Wrap your chenille stems around your popsicle stick. Glue them as needed for your animal!
3. Cut out the paper to create your animal’s face or any body features (does your animal have teeth? A lot of eyes? Wings?) Draw on your paper before attaching it to your stick.
4. Glue your paper to the popsicle stick.
5. Draw on your popsicle stick if needed. I drew feet for my cat!
