Picking up digital holds is changing!
Starting Monday, March 2, when a title you have on hold through the Libby app or the Digital Library of Illinois website becomes available, you’ll get a notification and will have three days (72 hours) to claim the title. Digital holds will no longer automatically get checked out when available.
The notification should come through the Libby app (so make sure you have your notifications set to on) or to your email.
Don’t want to wait for a book?
You may have noticed some titles in the collection with a four-leaf clover logo. That means you’re in luck! The Digital Library of Illinois is now offering the Lucky Day Collection for hard-to-get ebooks and e-audiobooks.
Lucky Day titles are available on a first-come, first-served basis, similar to our Lucky Duck print collection. Some things to know:
- Same checkout period as your regular ebooks and e-audiobooks
- No holds
- No renewals
- Will count towards the five-item checkout limit
Look for the four-leaf clover next to the Borrow command to see if it’s your Lucky Day!
