Mobile Hotspots Available for Checkout

The Deerfield Public Library has mobile hotspot devices available for patron use. Mobile hotspots allow you to share a wireless network connection with other devices, so they can access the internet. Devices connect to the mobile hotspot using their Wi-Fi feature.

Eligibility

Borrowers must have a valid library card.

Loan Period/Availability

Borrowers may only borrow one mobile hotspot at a time.  The lending period is 21 days. Borrowers can obtain mobile hotspot devices at the Multimedia Desk. Holds and renewals are permitted. Mobile hotspots must be returned directly to a Deerfield Public Library staff member at the Information Desk.

Limitations

Please note that a Sprint Cellular Network connection is required to use a Mobile HotSpot device.  Since the Mobile HotSpot device connects to the internet through a Cellular Network connection, it will not function if not connected to the Sprint Cellular Network. The Mobile HotSpot device should automatically connect to the Sprint Cellular Network connected with the device. If, however, you are outside of the carrier’s network the device will not connect and work.
