Happening Thursday, March 26, 7-8 p.m.
You are invited to join our first Online Book Discussion for adults! We’ll be trying this experiment with our previously scheduled Classics Book Discussion of the short story collection In Our Time by Ernest Hemingway this coming Thursday, March 26, from 7-8 p.m. We hope this discussion will be a fun way to connect with the community while many of us are stuck at home.
This is a stressful time, so don’t feel pressure to finish the book. In Our Time is a collection of short stories, so even if you read just one, you’ll still be able to participate! You can check out an ebook or audiobook copy through the library here (if they’re all checked out, email me at reference@deerfieldlibrary.org, and I will get a copy to you).
Now the logistics. On Thursday, March 26, 7-8 p.m., we’ll be meeting through Zoom, a video conferencing app. Just click this link. If you haven’t used Zoom before, you’ll be prompted to download the free application for your computer, tablet, or phone you’re using. You will not need to sign up for an account. There is also the option to join by conference call. If you have any questions, you can email me ahead of time at reference@deerfieldlibrary.org to troubleshoot.
Hope to see you on the video conference on Thursday!
