In April 2020, the Library staff and Board developed a phased reopen plan based on the Illinois Department of Public Health Restore Illinois guidelines. Below is our current plan starting at Phase 3. This is a living document that continues to evolve. Please check the Library website for the most current information.
Phase 3: Library building is available for limited services.
Target Date: June 2020; aligns with Restore IL Phase 3 (Recovery)
Available services include:
- Scheduled curbside pickup for library materials
- Accepting returns
- Email & Chat Reference
- Virtual programming for adults & youth
Phase 4: Building Open Limited Hours for Public
Target Date: No later than July 31, 2020
Available services include:
- Scheduled curbside pickup for library materials
- Accepting returns
- Telephone Reference
- Email & Chat Reference
- Public Computers access
- Print/Copy/Fax/Scan services
- Shelf browsing and self-checkout
- Virtual programming for adults & youth
- Interlibrary loan

Vulnerable Population Hours: Tuesdays, 9-10; Fridays, 2-3 pm
Hours are subject to change. As the situation improves, the library will continue to offer additional services available for the community. This may include seating, more computer appointments, and limited study room availability.
While in the library, please wear a mask, practice social distancing, and limit your visit to less than an hour.
