We almost made it to 2022! For me, the end of each year is a time for reflection and striving for better in the future. This type of reflection can span across many aspects of one’s life, including music! We can look back at how our musical tastes looked or changed over the past year. What did you listen to on repeat? What new music did you discover? I’m dedicating this post to reflect on my 2021 listening habits and recommend four albums that I listened to regularly this year. I hope that this inspires all of you to reflect on your own musical journey throughout the year. If you feel so inclined, please email me at reference@deerfieldlibrary.org with your own recommendations, I’d love to hear them! For each album recommendation, I have provided a YouTube link to a song from that particular album. Feel free to give each song a listen!
