Update: If you were sad that our last stream didn’t work out as planned, fear not! We’ll be streaming the board game Photosynthesis on Tuesday, January 18. PLUS, we’ll be playing Stardew Valley live on Thursday, January 20. See you then.
We’re excited to let you know that starting on Tuesday, January 4 at 7 p.m. Deerfield Public Library will be livestreaming on Twitch at twitch.tv/deerfieldlibrary!
Twitch is an online platform for streaming content. It originally came into prominence as a site for streaming esports, but the content has expanded to include everything from video game playthroughs to Dungeons & Dragons to chess to live music concerts.
We plan to use Twitch to highlight some of the many excellent board games and video games we have in the collection. It’s free to sign up for a Twitch account, but it’s not a requirement to tune in to our stream – all you have to do is head to twitch.tv/deerfieldlibrary at the right time! If you do sign up for an account and follow us, you can be notified when we go live so you never miss a stream.
Our first stream will showcase the board game Photosynthesis, a beautiful game where you plant trees, build a forest, and compete with your friends to gather the most light. You can place Photosynthesis on hold in our collection right now! Be sure to tune in at 7 p.m. on January 4 to see more.
