Author William Hazelgrove on the DPL Podcast

On this episode of the Deerfield Public Library Podcast, Claire Steiner, our head of Adult Services, fills in to interview William Hazelgrove. William is a Chicago author of many novels and nonfiction books and is a frequent and popular speaker here at the Library. William is currently working on a movie for PBS based his book, Madame President: The Secret Presidency of Edith Wilson.

Join us to hear fascinating Chicago and American history stories from William’s books, including the downfall of Al Capone and the 1933 Chicago Fair. Visit the White House during Woodrow Wilson’s presidency and see how his wife, Edith, may have changed the course of American politics. We also touch on William’s upcoming book, Wright Brothers, Wrong Story, which is a deep dive into the Wright brothers and their history-making flying machines, available December 4.

Find out more about William through his website, williamhazelgrove.com, or check out his books here at the Library. Join us for William’s next presentation at the Library on January 24 at 7 p.m.  He will be talking about his new book, Wright Brothers, Wrong Story.
