Did you receive a new device for the holidays? The Deerfield Public Library is here to help you get the most out of your digital devices! We provide a plethora of e-resources for our patrons. All you need to access them is internet access and your Deerfield Public Library card.
e-Books and e-Audiobooks
You can access e-books and digital content available through the Library using MyMediaMall, your direct link to browsing the Deerfield Library’s digital collection of e-Books and media. You can also browse e-Books through the Library’s Catalog.
Libby is a new app that can be used to view and listen to your MyMediaMall e-materials on smartphones and tablets. You can see our PDF instructions or watch our video instructions to get started.
The Overdrive Media Console App can also be used to view your e-books on your mobile device or computer. Go to our e-book page to find instructions on setting up Overdrive on your device.
Hoopla: Digital Audiobooks, Music, Movies, and TV
Patrons can get access to thousands of titles in music, movies, TV, and audiobooks using Hoopla. There are no hold lists since everything on Hoopla is always available, and there are no fines since anything you check out through Hoopla expires on the due date — no returns required. Hoopla also gives the option to stream content through your internet connection or to download content to enjoy later.
To start using Hoopla, see our PDF instructions or watch our video instructions.
Digital Magazines
RBDigital gives you access to full, color editions of your favorite magazines on your computer or mobile device. Before downloading the app, you will need to set up an RBDigital Deerfield Library Collection account. You can see our PDF instructions or watch our video instructions to get started.
Digital Drop In
The Library typically holds a Digital Drop-In every other Thursday at 3 p.m. Patrons who have questions about their digital devices are welcome to stop by the lobby, where staff will be present to assist you. Don’t forget to have your devices, usernames, and passwords ready so you can get the most out of your time with us.
The next Digital Drop In will be Thursday, Dec. 28. Check out our calendar to see a full schedule of upcoming Digital Drop-Ins.
