Deerfield has a used bookstore? Sure does! This cozy, easy to browse spot with a wide variety of offerings is kind of a hidden gem. Hint: it’s in the Library!
The Friends of the Deerfield Public Library Bookstore!
Next time you come into the library continue straight ahead and you will dead-end (though anything but) in the bookstore, curated by the Friends of the Deerfield Public Library. Even better, your monetary donations for items in the store support new library resources and services.
The Friends’ store offers books for all ages, including audiobooks, coffee table books, and a large children’s section. You also can browse a large collection of DVDs and music CDs.
All the items on the shelves are in very good condition, and many would be perfect for gifts. The shelves are filled with donations as well as items withdrawn from the Library’s collection. The withdrawn items have Library markings, but the donated items are typically unmarked.
Here are a few gems currently on the used bookstore shelves:
- Children’s classic books Good Night, Moon and Stellaluna
- Beyonce CDs
- West Wing DVD box sets (4th and 5th seasons)
- Coffee Table books on Australia, golf, world religions
- Bestsellers galore from Baldacci, Clancy, Cussler, Flynn, Patterson, Roberts, Turow and more!
The bookstore is open when the library is open. A bookstore inside a library. Really, how can it get any better than that?
